C is for Cat

We begin every day with calendar time. We say the Pledge of Allegiance, sing the 12 months of the year, review our Days of the Week and practice our bible verse.

We finished our study of creation this week. On the 7th day, God rested.

We are working on one to one correspondence. You cut out one flower for the number one, two for the number two, and three for the number three!

You made a cat out of a paper plate - C is for Cat.

Your favorite cat is Pete the Cat. We read several Pete the Cat books.

We made a Pete the Cat hand puppet.

We read and sang with Pete the Cat "I love my white shoes, I love my white shoes, I love my white shoes."

Pete the Cat stepped in strawberries - they made his white shoes RED!

Pete the Cat stepped in blueberries - they made his white shoes BLUE!

Pete the Cat stepped in MUD - that made his white shoes BROWN!

Pete the Cat stepped in water - that made his white shoes WET!

You loved acting out the Pete the Cat story!

After all that colorful fun, you got a good bath!

Then you rolled a die, and gave Pete the Cat the number of buttons that matched the die.

We studied the triangle this week and you made Mat Man with a triangle body.

You love your math book. We began "different" today - you had to place an X or circle the object that was different.

We explored animals by matching cards of animals that live in the rainforest.

You found all the capital C's and colored them in.
