Week 4 Review Week!


We decided that we would do 3 new letters and then stop and have a review week. On our review week, we did some book theme days and some days you just explored!


One day we did Brown Bear Brown Bear.


You colored your own Brown Bear, Brown Bear book to match for each animal.


You made a tissue paper collage bear.


We looked at animals that start with an A, B and C!



You made lots of things with your new Wiki Sticks this week. 


You are still working on your scissor skills- this week you cut aluminium foil. 


Each week we choose a new counting book to read. This week we read Bear Counts

You love your math book. We worked on "Different" this week - you found what was different in each set. 


You painted lots. You like to be the doctor and paint what is wrong. And then you diagnose the patient! 


We checked out this book on Yoga at the library. You love it!



You used some of our cookbooks to help you create in your kitchen. 


The Very Hungry Caterpillar


Our Bible story this week was Adam and Eve.


You created an Adam and Eve paper doll to re-tell the story with. 


Yesterday, today, and tomorrow.


In your journal, you wrote a story about a circle.


We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar.



You practiced re-telling the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar with the laminated pieces I made you.



We graphed how many of each fruit the caterpillar ate.

We read a Sesame Street alphabet book and explored letter sounds.



You made a caterpillar with green paint and a toilet paper tube.


We talked about how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly.

Week 3 The Letter C


We started using workboxes this week. You have 10 boxes. Every day I fill all 10 drawers - each with an activity.  You love opening the drawers and discovering what I have for you!


C is for Car - you made 4 cars to play with




Next, we made a track for your cars to ride on! You colored and drew a park, a toy store, and a house for the cars to stop at. 



C is for Cars - you rolled a die, and that told you how many bears were in each car!


You know all your colors but we still enjoy reading books about colors. You particularly liked this bear one this week where each page explored a different color the bear saw. 


We work on your name each week - this week we spelled Lyndie with crowns - C is for C


You like starfall.com, pbs and Nick Jr website.

 

We sorted caterpillars this week - small, medium and large. 


 C is for Clouds - we read Eric Carle's The Little Cloud book.


We practiced the letter C on your chalkboard.


C is for Car - you put cars on your letter C.

 In Bible, we worked on Creation. You cut out pictures of birds and fish for your Bible journal. 



This week we started journaling. You draw a picture, then tell me the story about the picture. I record your story for you. 





You drew clouds with chalk.

 A, B, C books!



 We read "It looks like Spilt Milk" and you made your own cloud paintings.
